Database not saving.

I know that the database that I have will not fit on a floppy disk. When I try to save the database to a disk though it only saves 622 bytes of the 2.39 MB file. It doesn't give the too much information error message. When we try to upload the file onto another computer it gives the error message that it has been opened exclusively on another computer. Is there any way to repair this? We can't send it by e-mail either. We need to be able to have it on more than one disk and to have a back-up.

Have you compacted the database? Does that reduce the size enough to fit on a disk? If not, use a program such as WinZip to compress the MDB.

You may have to find who is using the Access DB and have them exit. Check out the following links.

As put in another post, I did the same as creating an empty database to get around the security problem that I created. I put a password on my first program which didn't allow me to save it to disk. I tried to repair by taking the password off the program. This didn't work so I tried the suggestion of moving all the files into a new database. Thanks for the earlier help.
