I had to re-install SQL Server 2000 following a re-installtion of Windows XP. Although the standard databases are displayed in Enterprise Manager, the databases created in the earlier SQL2000 installation are not shown.

How can I get EM to display these? The .MDF file is in C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.

Thanks.

Go into Enterprise Manager and drill down to the databases tab. right-click on the tab amnd choose All Tasks..Attach Database and point it to your MDF.

Thanks

Are the earlier databases part of the same INSTANCE? Or when you reinstalled did you give a new instance name?

If they are part of a different instance, you will need to 'register' that instance.

The All Tasks|Attach Database worked.

Problem resolved. Thanks for your help.
