Hi
May anyone help me with the database engine error "General SQL Error, [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft

Access Driver] Invalid connection string attribute DATABASE", which I get when trying to connect to an

Access2000 database using a BDE database component and ODBC Microsoft Access Driver.
The error is apparently related to DATABASE NAME connection parameter but I have checked the

drive:\path\file.mdb param and there is nothing wrong with it.
I set the param through ODBC administrator and it worked fine but how can I set it in database

component properties without errors?
I am using Delphi 6 on Windows XP.
Thanks

Ìf you're using a TDatabase component I think the issue may lie in the setting of the 'DATABASE NAME' property. Try establishing the connection using the ODBC Admisistrator and then setting the Alias for the TDatabase component to be this ODBC source. Click the 'Defaults' button which should bring through all associated values. I have a feeling that there is no 'DATABASE NAME' parameter and that its either 'DATABASE' or 'FILEPATH'. I'm guessing on this but it would certainly be worth looking at.
