I am running DB2 7.2 on Win2000. I configured number of databases that I can see in DB2 Control Center. Then I copied these databases to another computer, however, I don't see them in the Control Center unless I catalog them explicitely. My questions are
1. How I can I copy database MANAGER config. files from one server to another? Are they located in SQLLIB directory? What files/directories contain this information? For example, where is stored information about the cataloged databases?

2. What information is stored in SQLDBDIR directory under
Drive\Instance_name\NODE0000\ ?
As far as I understand I have to copy this directory as well.

Did you manually copied the database... i.e. copy C:\db2\NODE0000\SQL00001 using op.sys commands and then moved that file across.

If that's the case... then is wrong. You see DB2 doesn't work like that.... you can access a database from 1 machine to the other machines by
1) move the database structure along with data and then build the new database and then populate the data..... db2look to get database structure and db2move to get the data.
2) or you can catalog the database to your local machine....

To get the answer for your first question.
DBM cfg file is only used local instances. so by simply copying it doesn't have associate instances ....
2) SQLDBDIR is stored information about both local and remote database. Remote database is the database that you cataloged.... To see it run this command <db2 list db directory This will show where the database is resides locally + the remote database information.
So, that commands reads all the information needed from SQLDBDIR .
