Out of 11 servers We have one (Windows Server 2000, Seagate drive, and BE version 9.0) that the backup job runs fine. Everything backed up from the drives shows in the restore so I know that is working. This is more of an annoyance since it is the only one doing this. The database maintenance runs at 0400 (default) but doesn't seem to be able to log on to the BEDB.bak to delete old items, etc. I get an error of Event ID 57348. The reason is: Not associated with a trusted SQL server connection. The maintenance has not run in a while and Monday night ran and last night did not run again. Any ideas?

Thanks for answering all my other questions!

This error results when Windows Auth is used for authentication AND the identity (login user) making the SQL connection is NOT given "Login" permission to the SQL Server. You should probably add the "trusted_connection=yes;" property to your connection string. And if that doesn't help, create a user (database access user) in your AD and give that user login access to the SQL server and also make it part of a role that can access your database.

Good luck!

Thanks Zoe for the reply. It turned out, after some investigation, that our Network Administrator had set an auto reboot for the same time. Change the time for maintenance and presto it worked.

Thanks again......
