I have a split database in Access 2003. Users were able to use this database yesterday and 1 person used it this morning. Now the frontend will not allow them to get to any data. I checked the Backend and when I tried to open it I got the message Could not use databasename.mdb file already in use.
There is no ldb for this database and all users are out of the frontend. The one person who was able to use the database this morning has shut down her machine, just in case her machine had it locked. I am still getting the message. Needless to say this database cannot be used. I have also tried to compact and repair this database from another database and the compact and repair failed.
Any help with this issue would be appreciated.
