Database is a user defined type

Hola,

I have a simple "dim dbs as Database"

Dim dbs As Database

this produce the error "this ia a user defined type not ok".
Is this depending on the version of access. I tried also DAO.database. I use access version 2000

In the VBE, menu Tools -> References ...
Tick the Microsoft DAO 3.x Object Library checkbox.
