I am using Win Server 2000 and Access 2000. The database is very simple and is connected to my website via Data Access Page.
Tests have proven that the design works (when tested on 2000 Professional).
However, 2000 Server isn't routing the database information from Access to the Data Access Page on the web site. I keep getting a blank online page. No errors or symbols, just a blank page.
The ODBC has the Access 2000 driver loaded and is directed toward the database.
Any ideas as to why Server 2000 can't reproduce what 2000 Professional does so easily?

Thanks.

Hi,

Check and see if the ODBC connection on the server a user DSN (it needs to be a System DSN to let the IIS or PWS processes access it).
You can test this by putting some ordinary plain text on the page which is not generated by the database.

Added simple text to page body; it did show. The server is up to date with Microsoft Service packs and patches. Hmmm, could a conflict occur between two Access databases utilizing the same ODBC driver?

It shouldn't be using the same ODBC driver. ODBC connects to a data source (DSN), not a driver.
The fact that the text shows means that your browser is connecting and PWS/IIS is running properly; it is the database connection.
Have you checked to see if the database connection is a system DSN (rather than user). I have a free intro to odbc which tells you why this is (as well as a few other bits and pieces) from my website

One more thing; I utilized a Wizard, to create the database, so I believe all the field names are identical.
I am using IE 6.0 on Win 2000 Professional and Win 2000 Server.

I will double check the ODBC; can't do it right away. I like your website, very helpful; conveys the important content in layman's terms.

The ODBC database connection is a system DSN.
