Database increasing in size

I noticed that whenever I add additional list of contacts to my access table the size of the database increase alot. I only have 51,000 records within my databse and it is already 56megs.

Is this normal? Is there a way to optimize access?

Badger,

Go to tools, database utilities, compact database. I recommend that you do this at least once a week.

If I am doing a lot of data entry or if I have multiple users I do it daily.
