Database forms on the WEB

I am wondering if there is a good and reasonably simple book or on-line tutorial about how to publish database forms to the web. I would like to be able to display the contents of my database (member names, addresses, etc) and also allow for members to change their own records (selected fields, such as address, phone, email).

Any suggestions for this extreme novice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance...
