I am currently in e*Gate training, class eBI 111 - Databse Connection. I just learned that "The Java Database ETD is a read only file, if the database changes, it will be necessary to build a new ETD. The Java ETD CANNOT be used for the same table in a different database."

Quite frankly, THIS IS AWFUL. We have 3 environments for every application (development, testing, production). How can we "move" ETD's between environments without having to rebuild them?

Does anyone know of a hack or work around to overcome this limitation?

Please respond ASAP.
