Hi,

I have been asked if we can configure CE8.5 to handle Data Driven events. Ideally, we'd like to monitor an Oracle database for new rows in a table or a certain change of value in a field. Then run a report accordingly.....

I don't think CE8.5 has this fuctionality??? Anyone got any other ideas/advice??

Regards,

Marcus.

Consider using triggers on the database to create a file and make the report dependent upon a file event.

I suppose you could code a trigger to fire the entire process too using some external code.

If you wanted to live dangerously, you might even try to have the database flip the CE event trigger directly...
