I used to use Visual Source Safe, but got a new system and hadn't used it in a while. I just installed it and I am trying to access files that I used to access. First I go in and browse to the srcsafe.ini file in the directory where the files are and click OK and then open, but it tells me that database does not exist, would you like to search. I have tried it numerouse times and searched for all the srcsafe.ini files on the drive. If I go to the login page and try to login I get "Invalid DOS Path" error.

Any ideas of what it is looking for or what I am missing since I know that the files are there?

Hi,

Has anybody found the answer to this one? I'm having the same error.

Thanks!

Tina

I'm not sure what exactly I did to get it to work, but I believe I changed the path to get it to work. I either used the full path or the shared path. I forget which exactly and I'm not sure if I went into the registry or not. Hope this helps.
