Hi guys, last weekend we were backing up our server-farm as usual but when I looked into the log-file of the weekend-job there was no backing up-history but only the error code 4101 "logging into database-process failed - not possible"
however the database-process was running.
Next I looked into the c: drive where Arcserve is installed and I saw that the database directory has grown to more than 1 GB over the weekend.
The following files are responsible for that abnormal growth: asobject.ooo (81 MB), asobject.oo1 (10MB), asobject.oo2 (37 MB), asobject.oo3 (9 MB), asobject.oo4 (33 MB), astpsdat.000 (383 MB), astpsdat.001 (252MB), astpsdat.002 (170 MB).
As already mentioned I have never had such a growth ever before. I don´t know what´s wrong.
Fact is that because of that abnormal growth I have only 1 MB of free space left on the c: drive.
Do you know if I can delete these files ? What can I do to prevent such a growth from occuring again ?
Please help - any hint appreciated.
Best regards,
Thorsten F.
