I've got a date field in a database, TIMESTAMP(14) format, NULL=YES DEFAULT=NULL, that likes to reset to the current timstamp any time I update any other field in a record. Is there any specific reason this is happening, and any way I can stop it?

Thanks

Writing NULL to a timestamp column updates it to the current system time. That's what timestamp columns do (can be quite handy in some circumstances).
