Hi,
Another quick question that has me baffled. How do I print the name of the database or data source that I'm using per report on the report?

I know how to grab the filename function and it prints the file name of the report but not the database name itself. For example if my database name is Xtreme.mdb .. how can I grab this to print right on my report. We use numerous databases that have the exact same table structure and just reset the location depending on what we are using. However, sometimes the reports themselves should show which database was in use to generate this report.

Thx

I'd like to do this as well - tried a while back and couldn't do it so we gave up and moved on (that was before I found tek-tips!)

At the time, the advice I was given was to
1. create a textbox with the name in it (yea, right!)
2. if using a stored procedure, put it in there and then grab it (and if there's no stored procedure???)

neither were very useful. please do post when you find a fix!
