I am using Crystal XI and accessing an Access DB. I have a recurring report that I wrote however when I opened the report today and clicked the refresh button I received the following error. I am unable to determine what the problem may be. Can anyone please help me?

Database Connector Error: 'DAO Error Code: 0xc5f
Source: DAO.Database
Description: Record is deleted.'

I did not change anything in the query and have been running it monthly for a few months now. There were a few changes made to the access database however i'm not sure what may have affected the query.

Hi,
Use the 'Verify Database' option under the Database menu to check for changes..

Thanks for the quick reply however I already tried this. When I do so I first receive a message that states "The database is up to date" and then when i click OK is when I receive the message Failed to retrieve data from the databse and then when i click ok i receieve the error message I previously stated.

Hi,
OK, try this:

Copy the Sql code generated for the report and try it directly against the Access database..The error message may be clearer that way or you may see some other reason for the failure.

Sorry Im not nearly as efficient with Access as I am with crystal. Where do I enter the Sql in Access?

Hi,
Not my best either, but is there not an Access Query tool?
Use it and use the Sql method to paste your query in..

Thanks for your help however my issue has been resolved. I closed all of my windows and rebooted my computer and the query worked perfect. I should have done this to begin with. I'm still not sure what the problem was.
