database conectivity across subwebs

I have a MSAcces in fpdb folder on a NT server, and suing FP 2002 this was working fine with the databse results wizard etc.

Then to control different user access to the database I created subwebs for passwords, and consequently lost connectivity to the database in these subwebs. What is the best way to get around this? The subweb does not locate the database, and it is obviously inefficient to load the database into each subweb.

Thanks for what is probably obvious to some of you!
