I run an access query that has been in place here for years.. recently i have been getting an error message that says that the database has reached it's maximum size. Usually, if I reboot and re-run the report, it will work.. however, I am concerned this is just a temporary solution to a bigger problem yet to come. Any suggestions on what I can do to correct this?

database at max size?

Well you could try checking if the databse HAS reached its maximumn size (depends on Access version 97 = 1 GB, 2K/2002=2GB).
After making a backup, you could try compacting. Regards
