Hi all,
I'm still relatively new to VB6 and have been experimenting recently with Data Environments. I've found a weird problem which i can't explain.
I have created a data environment with a connection to one of the access sample databases (biblio.mdb or nwind.mdb). I've used the connection string builder and the connection tests out fine. I've also added a simple command to retrieve a table. They work fine.
The problem occurs when i view the data in the Data View window. The connection shown there DOES NOT match the one i have created (even though they have the same name - and no that's not just coincidence). I have previously made a connection to a different database of my own creation and this is the connection that the Data view is showing when i choose it's properties. The mad thing is though that the REAL connection i created does work and is correct.
I have tried deleting the entire data environment and starting again - nope. I've tried renaming the connection - nope. I'm baffled!
Any idea?
Cheers
