My objective (ideally using out-of-the-box MOSS 2007 functionality) is to pull data from a back office SQL database and display the records for the user. Each record has a GROUP field which I want to match up with the GROUP value I’ve added to each Users Profile, hence only letting the user see records for his group.
I used SP Designer and built a Data Form Web Part (Data View), which shows ALL my data. Problem is I cannot figure how to apply the Current User Filter to the page and have it work. I can put it on the page, set the profile value to provide as GROUP, go through the Connections setup but cannot see how to compare it to the GROUP value in the DVWP.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
