how do i add validation rules to my forms and tables
i want to be able to make people only be able to put in specifc details such as
M or F instead of putting male/female
is this possible, if it is could you tell me any good sites that have a full list of validation rules

Generally, check the entry in the BeforeUpdate event. If the entry fails, post a msgbox, clear the field and place focus back on hte field.

Validation rules are simple and easy to write. Please consult your help file. I doubt anybody would bother to create a web site with a "full list of validation rules". It would be like making a list of salutations for use in correspondence. Rick Sprague
