Is there anyway of using excel built in data validation to validate to a format (rather than just a decimal)...such as #,##0.00? Or would this need to be coded?!

Are you talking about custome Fromatting? Go to your formatting screen and scroll to the bottom for "Custom", take a look at what's there and see if it helps. Kyle [pc2]
