I want to throw an error if the date entered is a future date.
The validation rule won't accept <=Date()
When I enter that in the Data Validation field, it doesn't matter what date I enter, nothing happens. It will take =Date() just fine though. What am I doing wrong?

I figured it out. It was one of those things you slam your head into a wall because of. I had forgotten to specify the format as a date format, so I think it was taking the data entered into the field as a string. That would explain why it would take = since the data entered (today's date) would equal the date, even in a string comparison. Thank you for your help.
