Can anyone help please.

When I want to use a pick (drop-down) list in Excel I can
only base the list from data on the current (active) sheet.
Is there any way that data from another sheet/workbook can be
used.
Thanks
Clive

Assign a range name to the data in the other sheet, and refer to the data by that name.

Assign a name to the range containing the items to be included in the list.

Example:

On Sheet2, you have a list in column A.
[ul][li]select Column A (or just the portion containing the list)[/li]
[li]Go to Insert > Name > Define[/li]
[li]Change the Name at the top to something like MyList[/li]
[li]Back on Sheet1, highlight the range on which you want to use validation[/li]
[li]Go to Data > Validation[/li]
[li]Change the 'Allow' to List[/li]
[li]In 'Source', enter =MyList[/li][/ul]

That's it!
