Thanks! Will check that out. DO you also know how to change the data type of a field on the report thats coming from the database? I have a field with a datatype of 'String' and I want to change it to 'Memo'. Please tell me how?!

What database are you using? And if you convert something to a memo, that means you will not be able to reference anything in it within formulas, only display it.

Most people want the reverse...

You can create a SQL Expression and use CAST or whatever your database supports.

In general you'll get the best responses by supplying background info., such as database/version, version of Crystal, example data and expected output.
