Is anyone able to provide me with the coding for a simple date trigger, such as

When or If Sysdate = 01/**/****
Do this, ie run query

And can it be put in an "on open" or "on click", position on a form's design, if not where.

There are certain procedures which I should like to automate within the access database, on a monthly and daily basis, even one which runs at 4 pm every day if possible.

Can anyone help me, please?

if day(date())=1 then

docmd.openquery "QueryName"

end if

but what are you going to do if you dont run the report on the first or @ 4:00p

If you are talking about Jet here, I don't think it does triggers, but that term normally means responding to something happenning in the database. You seem to be talking about running scheduled jobs.

Jet doesn't run - it's just a file sitting on a filesystem. You therefore need a running process to notice a certain time has been reached. I would look at Task Scheduler in help. Write an Access application that does your batch jobs and call it with Task Scheduler.
