I need my program to dial in to server. Login, and upload a file.
How do I do thus in VB 6? Should I use a third party plugin? Does anyone know of any?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi

Consider doing the following:

1 - Create a dial-up networking connection to do the dial-up and log-in

2 - Set your dial up connection to time out after a period of inactivity (say 2 minutes)

3 - Have your VB program call a shell command to activate the dial-up networking connection

4 - Have your program wait for a period (say 1 minutes, depends how good the phones are)

5 - Transfer the files programatically

6 - That's it. The timeout will close the connection
