Hi Folks,

First time post so I apologize if I don't have the forum etiquette down properly. I tried to do a search on this question but couldn't find anything.

My questions concern Business Views.

Where can I get a list of data sources that are compatible with business views?
Can I use non-relational sources? I have a situation where I'd like to use business views to enable simple access of data joined from SQL Server and flat-files. I assume that I'll be OK as long as I can find an ODBC driver for the flat files?

Thanks,
Vic

You can use any of the CR10 data sources, other than OLAP and any custom data provider AFAIK.

You can certainly do what you suggest, however be aware that you could be putting undue strain on Crystal to process the joins rather than the database. Although I do like Business Views, you may be better off loading the file to a table and performing a regular join (depending on data volume).
