Hi

My SQL server uses a non standard port, how do I enter this port number into the data source in Excel rather than use the default 1433?

Thanks!

You may get an answer here but I would've thought the question would be a better fit in here: forum706

The question is really related to the ODBC link between excel and SQL Server rather than any specific issue in Excel.

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.

found it anyway, just use a comma - 1.2.3.4,5555 :)

Thanks for posting back with the answer :)
