I have one Crystal Report that I would like to use at different times on 4 different but idential data sources. I don't want to have to save 4 copies of the report.

Can I use a parameter (or other method) to prompt the user to select the datasource on the fly?

You would need to create your own application to do this or purchase a 3rd-party viewer (see list at:
My DataLink Viewer allows you to pass the ODBC DSN as a command line argument (so you could, for example, create 4 desktop shortcuts) or to present the user with a list of ODBC DSNs to chose from.

- Ido

view, e-mail, export, burst, distribute, and schedule Crystal Reports.

Or you could write a Business View that has the 4 different data connections in the data foundation. Is that available to you?

Thanks so much!

You might even be able to do this using a parameter in a Command Object, depends on the database and your version of Crystal.

Please make sure that you include this important, basic information with every post.
