I have recently developed a program with VB6 which uses data from an MS-Access database. Now I wish to retrieve certain information from the database and display in the Report Header and Page Header sections of a Data Report this has proved impossible so far. Apart from the Details section is there any way of Binding or changing the content of a control in other sections of a data report.

Microsoft's Data Report provides an excellent reason to choose 3rd party reporting products to meet your reporting needs. As far as I can tell, bound controls are restricted to group and detail sections - you *cannot* place bound text boxes etc in any other section.

A work-around I've used for dynamically setting a report title is to insert a text box in the report header, of type report title (the text box appears bound to something called %i). In code, prior to showing the report, set the 'Title' property of the report as required.

This works fine, but is severely restrictive, as you can only parameterise one field in the report header - more than likely not enough.
