hello guys, me again

this time i have a question that rather needs some pointing to other sources of info than the answer itself. i would like to learn more about the data reports in VB, and especially on how to code the commands in it other way than thru the properties, cuz the hard-coded stuff leaves no room for on-run changes. any tutorial, website, a book, a reference to a previos post, i will really appreciate.

thanks a lot guys,
vlada

That's a pretty loose question, exactly what properties are you concerned about?

Almost all Crystal Report properties can be changed at run time. Depending on your version of CR, check out the knowledge base at Crystal Decisions.

Hope this helps.

mthompso,
I think krzysrb is referring to MS VB Report Designer and I my self have the same problem with the Report Designer it does lack documentation and resources for developers.
Is ther a more eficent way to write reports that is native to VB extracting data from a database(MS Access)?

aalmeida, you are more than right.

it is the MSVB Report Designer, and not how i referred to it earlier as Data Report. My bad, sorry about that one mthompso.

As for the MSVBDR I still wish someone could point me to some source where i can find info on the efficiency issue, cuz hardcoding it just leaves no room for changes during the run time.

thanks a lot all
