Hello fellow IT peeps.
We have a tape written on a T9940B drive that can no longer be accessed. The suspicion is that during a software test the tape was inadvertently quick-erased (using the SCSI quick erase command) when it should have been removed from the drive by the operator prior to the test.
I checked the DSE setting on the drive involved and it is set to N, so I would expect that only a tape eod has been written to the bot rather than a full wipe.
Is there anything we can do ourselves to recover the data on this tape?
If not, can anyone recommend a company who you know for sure can do this for us?
Thanks
Mike
