Does anyone know of a good but affordable Data Recovery Software for a crashed hard drive?

If the data is inaccessible due to a glitch in the file system, partition tables, or MBR, Norton Disk Doctor may help you. If the HDD is crashed from a physical fault (head crash, arm or platter problem, etc.), software alone will not help you. You will need the hardware necessary to read the platter(s) after disassembling the assembly, and lots of luck. If it's a physical fault, it's expensive.
