I'm helping a local businessman with a problem. He migrated his systems without fully backing up and archiving his data. He is now missing a few important files.
The problem is that his previous system used a QIC type tape drive for backup. A HP Colorado T3000 to be precise. This unit uses Travan TR-3 type cartridges. The legacy machine is gone. But the tapes have been retained. He also has the B/U restore software, albeit for Windows 95/98.
I'm trying to find someone that still has a QIC drive in operation that will read teh TR-3 cartridge. Recover the files on interest and burn them on a CD.
Anyone out there that might have such a drive or know someone that does?
Many thanks aforehand.
