Hi

I cleared a partition on my system to install Ubuntu Linux. Once installed, i realised that it had used 2 partitions, the program files being written to a partition that I had precious familty photos stored on. This partition was a windows NTFS partition, now it is a Ext32.

What procedures can I take to recover these pictures, and what software is most recommended for this?

Cheers

Do a google search, there are some very good recovery tools

you mean, there was a NTFS but now is ext3, correct? I think you loose all data on that partition.

Sorry.

I agree with Chacalinc here, I think you have very little chance of recovering anything. :-(
