I have an access DB being accessed by a VB application. This system is to be distributed to users. Is there a way to protect the DB so that only the users with that VB application can access the DB. Otherwise, anybody with Access installed can use the DB. [sig][/sig]

Use the Access security wizard to secure the database. Then open the db from vb by passing the username and password in the connection string.

Hope this helps. [sig]
Phooey
Andrew.j.harrison@capgemini.co.uk
Otherwise known as Windy Bottom.[/sig]
