Data modeling tools comparison?

I work for a company that is looking into purchasing some 3rd party software applications that will allow for full data modeling capabilities on a larger scale. the primary solution was said to be Rational Rose & i've done my research of their products & what they offer. however, does anyone out there know of any other comparable data modeling packages that offer the equivalent if not more than Rational? i need to present some side by side comparisons of the different tools available out there.
Any information anyone has (links, company names, etc.), would be greatly appreciated.

Take a look at Databeacon 5.1 at

You'll find it to be a very good solution.

In my opinion, the best is PowerDesigner of Sybase (flexible and intuitive) other tools are Erwin (Platinum) ER Studio (Embarcadero).
