Hi,

We are in the process of creating a Data Warehouse which will involve data in Tera Bytes. Client's requirement is to use SQL 2K as the RDBMS. Can any one tell me as to which is the Data Model we shall use (star/ Snow Flake etc) and why?

Thanx in Adv.

the data model all depends on the nature of the data

(by the way, a star model is a type of snowflake)

it's like asking "client's requirement is to use a Lexus for the car, can anybody tell me where we should drive it?"

well, not exactly like that, but...

in general, you will be trading off denormalization for access speed

modelling is not really a science, more of an art
