I have been responsible for the data migration from a Hitachi (HDS) San to an EVA San in an AIX environment.

So far I have successfully migrated over 1.5 TB of data with great success using the AIX command migratepv.

I am now getting ready to install dual 2GB Cambex Fibre cards in the only two servers in an HACMP environment that we are going to migrate. I'm not overly familiar with HACMP so I'm not sure I can use the same procedure.
I'm pretty sure I can't. Any assistance you can give me in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

You should
1. Make sure both nodes can see the new disks
2. Fail all disks onto node 1 in the cluster or make sure node 2 can't access the disks
3. Extend the vg onto 1 node in the cluster
4. Migrate the data w/ the migratepv command (or mirror, unmirror)
You now need to update node 2 with the new information.
on node 1
5. varyonvg -b -u vgname
on node 2
6. varyonvg -L vgname hdisk#
on node 1
7. varyonvg vgname

Now you can reduce the vg on node 1, update the info on node 2 again and delete the old hdisks from both nodes.

Make sure the Major and Minor numbers are the same on each server for the external disks.
