Data Migration fails - need to move data to tape

Every once in a while my data migration fails for some reason. This causes backup sessions to be left on disk taking up valuable space and causing future jobs to fail. I've tried to run a tapecopy command that will rerun the job, but am unable to get the proper command line parameters. The sessions are noncontiguous, so it would take several tapecopy commands selecting the contiguous blocks. Support is unable to provide a way for me to rerun the job and recommended using multiple tapecopy commands. I find this unacceptable. Is it possible to rerun a failed migration job?

I've tried it by date.

11/30 08:45:34 COMMAND LINE: tapecopy -d PV-132T -qOnOrAfter (11/11/2007) -qOnOrBefore (11/11/2007) -c W-MAINBKUP-SUN-11/11/07 -o

I've tried it by job number.

11/30 09:21:49 COMMAND LINE: tapecopy -d PV-132T -qMID 898 -m MAINBKUP_WLY
11/30 09:21:50 Tsi connection established as [TAPECOPY-154]

11/30 09:21:51 There are no records associated with your query
11/30 09:21:51 Please recheck your parameters

I've used some other query combinations, but nothing works.

Thanks

no version revision info given so I'll just say install the latest service pack since there was a data migration problem addressed.

Is PV-132T the name of the group or device?
Typically they are GROUP0, GROUP1, GROUP2...

also the help file shows a different format which includes the time in addition to the date.
-qOnOrBefore (4/29/2002,12:00)
-qOnOrAfter (4/29/2002,12:00)

I was able to get a tapecopy command to work with support's help.

tapecopy -d TEST -qOnOrAfter 11/11/2007 -qOnOrBefore 11/12/2007 -qignorerep -c W-MAINBKUP-SUN-11/11/07

They had to update the tapecopy command to fix a buffering error. I'm still waiting for an answer on getting the database to update so the sessions will show as purgable and if the -qMID or -qJobNum parameters work. I'll update when I hear back from them. Hopefully this will save someone future frustration.

An update. Support finally provided an updated TAPECOPY command to try. Unfortunately, I could not leave the data on disk this long, so I have no idea if it works or not. Thanks, CA, your response time is amazing. I'm going to test other options this year and migrate to something better for my backup solution.
