data menu\ master-detail relationship tab

After creating common column for master & detail report I was unable to click data menu\ master-detail relationship tab. It is suppressed or disabled.

Am I missing something or is there some other way to unlock it.

This is Cognos 8 version – Report studio.

The data menu\ master-detail relationship tab is disabled.
I have a screenshot of it ...but here i am not able to attach it ? let me try once again

Kindly guide me.

Simply
Just click any column (or chart area) in Detail Report, then click data menu\ M-D Rship button will be enabled, click on it , create a link between 2 queries/reports.
It will work
