my chip isn't overclocked...i'm using a 1.2ghz athlon, and the problem is a design problem in windows...it's been in a couple of articles, and there's supposed to be a patch but only released to vendors....i need to get my hands on it...
thanx for the input, but it's not relevant to this problem...
it seems windows 98se and Me have a design flaw that when using a chip faster than 933, the machine shuts down too fast and windows can't write the shutdown data to the hdd before the machine shuts off, causing data loss and corruption....if anybody else has herad of this or has the patch, please let me know....thanx
well with a 1.2 Gigahertz CPU, I still recomend that Blizzard Water Cooler far as the patch goes search microsoft.com if you have not done so already, and still as far as the patch goes I have not heard anything about this, and I Read alot of review sites, I would have seen some notice of some sort, try going to windowsupdate.microsoft.com
