I need to link two fields (Crystal 9), but one is a number field, the other a text field. Is there a way to do this? Maybe turn off/on an option? I fear a stored procedure is my only option at this point.

You could use a subreport for one of the tables, and create a formula in the main report that converts the value to same datatype as the field in the subreport, and then link the subreport on this formula.
