HI:

I'm out of ideas. I have tried a very simple data island sample and continually receive this error:

Arguments are of the wrong type, are out of acceptable range, or are in conflict with one another.

The error occurs on the line that attempts to save the record source to the "Response" object. (objRS.Save Response,adPersistXML).

I am using IE6 on a Win 2K machine. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Hello,
See what I have posted in thread426-104904
Response is a prebuild object in ASP and you cannot save to it.
Try different name for it -Rsponse for example.
Hope this helps.

Per two of the books I'm using, I'm told that you can write to the Response object which is supposed to put it directly to the browser. Isn't the Response object a stream?

At the top of the asp code I put: Response.ContentType="text/xml"

Thanks for the reply to my question.
