I am trying to set up a DIP from the CommServe to the Media Agent. I am having dns issues and want to set the DIP using IP's but it won't let me choose the CommServe?

I keep getting errors to check teh communications service but all the services are running fine.

Any Ideas?

Add it into your host file also then try adding it to your DIP

DIPs are only used to setup a pipe from the client to the media agent. I think your only option is to use hosts as Frbutler has posted.
