After inserting new records to a table that is the basis for a subdata form a data has changed message appears I need to click through before the subdata form will update. I tried to requery the subdata form with VBA but still get the annoying message box to click through. Anyway to stop this?

It seems like you are inserting records with a query or other import while the table is open by some other object like a form or report. Close anything that has the target table open first.

If I a have mis-inferred, please clarify.

I'm sure you are right. Question is which object has which table open. Probably a row source. I'll look into this. Close the object in VBA. Perform the operation and then reopen the object in the same VBA program. got it...thanks
