Hi,

I'm planning a Flash game.

It would be a question/answer game with multiple choice.

The game would consist of little games that would be updateable (e.g., a Q/A game about sports that starts off with football, but adds sub-games for baseball, soccer, etc.).

It would also need to keep track of scores and players.

I'd like it to run off the web, as well as be downloadable to a PC and a hand-held.

Could anybody suggest the best, or at least their preferred, ways of tracking the data?

Thanks a million.

Hey!
I would suggest to store the data in a MySQL server by methods of PHP. A good host (free) that supports PHP and has a built-in MySQL server (PHP 4.1) is Sadly, there is a down to everything. This host is, ad supported.... Well, bye bye for now, reply if you need help!
FLASHfreak :)

p.s. Does anyone know of any good MySQL tutorials or recources? I don't really know the stuff like
Code:
INSERT INTO content WHERE id=1
(no clue what I just said!) Email me at fsFreak1021@aol.com or drop a note here!

Hi FlashFreak,

Thanks, but I was hoping I could use something more cross-platform.

I think it's going to be ASP or XML oriented.

Apparently doing something like this is something of a rarity.

p.s. - one of your best MySQL resoures will be the MySQL forum on this site. I think you'll catch on quickly, because most of the basic SQL commands are pretty simple. It's only when you want to do joins or fancy group selects when things get tricky.
