Hello forum! I was wondering if any of you could help out a little.
I am creating a report (still) for aircraft. I have 8 fields from 1 table (acft_ctrl_sts). All the information I need in my report comes up just fine. When I attempt to add data from another table (arcft_dscrpncy), the only returns that show up are records with info in this table. Am I limited by crystal reports that all the other data from the first table will not show up unless there is data for every aircraft in the other table? How can I "unsuppress" the other data? I do have several fields linked between tables, but not the specific field. There is no field in the first table, only the second. But, several fields ARE linked between tables. Any help is most welcome!!

Reverse the links between the 2 tables and see what happens.

If you are using ODBC or SQL based data, change the join type to a Left Outer Join, with the original table on the left (dull) end of the link arrow.

Also, did CR make the links automatically? If so, they may not be the correct links. Ken Hamady, On-site Custom Crystal Reports Training & Consulting

I am using an ODBC data base. I believe that I have found the problem. I think that the only way to pull info from the second table is there has to ba data in the table for ALL records. I was wondering if there is a way around this. The only time I need the info from the second table is when there is complete info from the second table. I wish I could explain it a little better.
Also, Ken, I am trying to talk my job into paying for some one-on-one instruction with you. We could probably have everything I need finished in 3-4 hours. We'll see!!
